Sled dogs have been pulling sleds and carrying supplies and people for thousands of years. The traditional materials for sled construction included wood, bone, sinew, and rawhide. Steel bolts came later, and were followed by plastics, aluminum, and today, materials like Kevlar and carbon fiber. Regardless of the materials, all modern dog sleds have certain common characteristics.

This is our site about us, Siberian Huskies in general, and our dogs specifically. We have had some ups and downs with our dogs, and hope that our experiences can help you in the future. We highly recommend a complete education in Siberians before getting one. They are our favorite breed, but they are not the right breed for everyone. Please make sure you have researched the breed before you get one. This is how our home became a "doghouse" and how the statement "You can’t have just one" really applies to us. People ask us if we are "breeders" but we are really not in that we only breed every few years. It is more like we are "collectors".

We are Terry & Mick Brent, we live with our family and dogs in West London (UK) and we have been actively interested in Siberian Huskies since 1992 when we started looking for our first Siberian. Since then we have worked, raced and shown our dogs with some success and a great deal of joy. Our aim is to produce Siberian Huskies of show quality, with excellent working ability and good temperament - dogs which make wonderful companions, can succeed in the show ring and maintain the ARCTIC characteristics which make the breed what it is!
